Standards for Dress and Conduct
“Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make
coats of skins, and clothed them” (Genesis
3:21).
“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a
man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all
that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God”
(Deuteronomy 22:5).
“Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and
said, Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of
thee, and declare thou unto me” (Job 40:6, 7).
“I will therefore that men pray every where,
lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. In like
manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest
apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety” (I Timothy 2:8,
9).
